Our history

Over 45 years ago, Isabel Fica y Ramón Armentia Senior, embarked on a new adventure into the world of children's fashion. Their first boutique was built upon the firm ideal of providing quality and style above all else, a tenet which remains true today thanks to their team of highly dedicated and professional sales staff (some of whom have been with them since the conception of the Veritas project) who ensure all their clients receive the best care and individual attention..

Distinction

Veritas became synonymous with quality and style in Spain and showcased “Basque children’s fashion ” in all its splendour throughout the country when, as is now widely known, it dressed the children of the Spanish Royal family.  In acknowledgement of its contribution to children’s fashion, the company received numerous national awards and, on several occasions, was asked to work on popular Spanish television programmes of the time.

Change of direction

As time passed, and in answer to changing market needs, Isabel and Ramón changed the focus of the company to women’s fashion.  Indeed, it was Veritas who brought some of the fashion world´s leading names to the Basque Country and Spain for the first time.

Veritas Today

Since its early beginnings, Veritas has gained prestige in the fashion world and become a leading light for showcasing luxury fashion and accessories in The Basque Country and Spain.  True testimony to the importance of Veritas is the trust placed in them by global fashion houses, including Valentino, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Yves saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander McQueen, Blumarine, Alberta Ferretti, ... .

Ramón Armentia Junior, graduate in Economic Law with a successful career in private banking, and the only son of Isabel and Ramon, always saw his future in continuing the family business.  His call to carry the torch came sooner than expected with the sudden and sad death of his father.  Since then he has been working side by side with his mother, forming, with her, a strong partnership at the helm of the company.

Today Veritas is a symbol of prestige and professionalism within the world of fashion and, when talking about luxury fashion in The Basque Country, Spain and the rest of Europe, it is acknowledged as a leading multibrand boutique.
